What has been the best piece of advice you have received so far in your career?
It’s maybe quite generic, but when I was a holiday rep (many moons ago) I was trained on customer service and complaint handling. I have used the skills throughout my life and they have been extremely useful when dealing with people.

What would you want to tell your 20-year-old self-knowing what you know now?
Do another ski season and don’t feel like you need to get a ‘real job’ yet.

What would you class as your biggest achievement so far?
Apologies for the cheese-fest but probably my daughter. She’s smart, funny, and a hoot to be around.

Who did you idolise when growing up?
The Spice Girls! Sometimes Geri, sometimes Emma, depending what side of the bed I woke up on that day.

What memories do you have of your first ever job?
I was a waitress in a small family run hotel. It was Christmas day and I tripped over whilst carrying food to a customer’s table. I threw a glass of melon balls all over a lady’s dress. *Note that customer service training had not been completed at this point in my life!

Do you have a favourite holiday destination?
South of France.It has the best climate – sunshine in the summer and snow in the winter.It also has good wine, and even better food.

Tell us something about yourself that not many people would know?
I sang ‘Do the Bart Man’ to Prince Andrew when I was 5.
