Celebrate your wins

Celebrate your wins

 16 Nov 2017

Don’t just enjoy your wins, celebrate them.
We all work hard, well some of us are lucky enough to hide in a team that works hard, but with working hard it is sometimes easier to forget about how it felt when you first completed a project, made a sale or signed up a new client.  We owe it to ourselves to make sure that we don’t fall into a habit where we just trudge on and on without enjoying what we set out to achieve.
I have heard of many ways in which companies celebrate wins, big or small, in our office we have a rather large captain’s bell that gets rung every time anyone makes a placement.  Personally, I love to use this as an opportunity to scare the entire office when they are least expecting it by sneaking up to the bell and letting loose.
When you take the time to create a plan of action then take the necessary steps to complete your project, no matter how long it takes, you owe it to yourself to not only be proud of your achievements inside but to get your team involved and share in the fun.
The past few months have been very productive for all at Red, with many new jobs coming on and being filled.  We would be lying if we said that we didn’t have a lot of fun along the way of course but when the whole team has pulled together to benefit not just the paying client but many candidates along the way we enjoyed and celebrated all of our individual wins as a team.
A few months ago, our quote for the week “Culture eats strategy for breakfast” sat proudly on our wall, since then it hasn’t been replaced.  One thing that has been replaced, though, is the wall itself.  As of this week we have moved offices, without our recent wins both small and big we wouldn’t have been able to make or justify the move but given the culture we have as a company our MD decided to enjoy and celebrate our wins by rewarding us with probably one of the best views in the entire building.
Get celebrating.
