Successful IT consultancy firm require a Business Development/Sales Manager, to be based in either their Glasgow or West Yorkshire office, predominantly to build on relationships within their existing partner network and develop new business through those partners.  In addition, it is important that the Business Development/Sales Manager recognises the importance of not only identifying new potential future partners, but also developing direct business, such as from online website contacts, personal contacts, or other methods of sourcing leads. 
 
There will be a degree of flexibility between remote & office-based working, which will be expected to manage to maximise potential.  The role will predominantly require office & phone-based activities, though it is expected there will be onsite visits across the UK.

  • Experience of a technology consultancy led approach
  • Experience of handling senior / director level clients
  • An ability to identify which opportunities to prioritise, and close deals
  • A degree of technical background / grounding
Desirable:
  • Industry experience of IT Solutions Sales
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manage all partner accounts not currently assigned and build / maintain relationships.
  • Identify potential future partners & key direct accounts.
  • Track an opportunity matrix for all partner accounts managed.
  • Take responsibility for creating quotations, utilising internal resources as necessary.
  • Contribute to online marketing efforts, including blogs & social media generation.
  • Take online leads or leads handed, identify the opportunity, and close deals.
  • Track progress with all sales & account management activities within CRM.
  • Contribute to sales review meetings.
