Our client, an international Oil, Gas, Energy and Marine company, based in Dundee, requires a Commercial Officer to support and co-ordinate contract processes and product sale/rental enquiries including the co-ordination of all Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).   This role will also manage the accounts of a core group of customers.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
 
Essential;
  • Commercial experience within the oil, gas and energy or marine sectors.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to critically assimilate information.
  • Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Organised and proactive.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to communicate issues with peers and to present knowledge.
Desirable;
  • Technical knowledge of pressurised habitats, H2S and fire suppression.
  • CRM software experience.
  • Good technical aptitude.
JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Responsible for the preparation, coordination and submission of ITTs, RFQs etc.
  • Responsible for quoting customers and keeping all stakeholders updated.
  • Utilise all company reporting and customer tools.
  • Understanding customer contracts and liaising with customers or internal departments to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Ensure contract rates and terms are adhered to when creating quotations.
  • Having regard to pricing strategy, reviewing and reporting on trends.
  • Drafting and negotiating amendments to contracts in conjunction with customers and other company business functions.
  • Co-ordinate customer follow-up queries.
  • Provide commercial support to the Operations, Finance and Business Development teams and any other relevant company functions.
  • Monitor company contracts throughout their life cycles, keeping stakeholders updated with developments and timelines.
  • Developing an awareness of Operator Equipment Specifications and regional standards and being aware of their impact on contracts.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with Company/Group policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
  • Make a proactive contribution to the successful implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety & Environmental policies and processes.
  • Contributing to the successful implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned.
