Contract Coordinator

Our Glasgow based Maritime client require a Contract Coordinator to join them on a 9 – 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Contract & Vendor Manager, the Contract Coordinator will work with other internal stakeholders to seek the overall most cost-effective solutions for sourcing of various technical products and services. In addition, the Contract Coordinator will be responsible for analysing large sourcing initiatives and making recommendations for best practices and cost savings based on Total Cost of Ownership analysis. This will involve initiation, analysis, negotiations, and management of spend, agreements and services.

  • Co-ordinate all agreements and principal decisions with the Contract Managers, Manager, Contract and Vendor Management and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Support Contract Managers in negotiating and managing assigned contract suppliers for equipment and services in consultation with other functional owners
  • Assist the department in negotiating bulk and major purchases, ensuring implementation and anchoring in the organization and in formulating agreements for major vendors based on Company Terms and Conditions
  • Support the department in seeking best overall agreements based upon total cost, quality, and service
  • Assist in reporting and data analysis and the approval of vendor adds, ensuring due process is correctly followed
  • Aid the development of sourcing strategies for all major categories and vendors
  • Build vendor performance terms where possible
  • Maintain and distribute supplier relationship assessment and management reports
  • Monitor and manage, in conjunction with other departments, the quality and standards of all suppliers, products and services
  • Support the department in identifying, initiating, and managing cross-functional sourcing projects
  • Assist in product and equipment research
  • Conduct market studies or research as required
  • Look for and pursue continuous improvement within own area of responsibility
