We are looking for a Temporary Crew Boat Marine Superintendent to be based in Angola for an 8-week rotation.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Up to date maritime licenses required in order to be able to replace a Captain, to carry out sea trials or to intervene on site with the Technical Superintendent.
  • At least five years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous experience with Crew Boats / Fast Support Vessels / Fast Supply Vessels.
  • Fluent in English.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manage the safe preparation and completion of the maritime operations requested by the customers and ensure the good operational status of the vessels assigned to the base/s.
  • Ensures all maritime operations concerning Fast Crew Boats (FCB) are carried out safely and within the deadlines.
  • Organises exceptional operations, such as convoys between different countries in direct collaboration with the Technical superintendent, QHSE and the various local authorities.
  • Ensures that all the requirements of the FCB regulations are met on every vessel assigned to the base.
  • Monitor the security, regulatory and classification documents of the vessels assigned to the base and ensures the presence on board the ships of the originals of the documents and certificates up to date and that the mandatory documents onboard (engine & deck logbook etc) are duly filled on a regular basis.
  • Liaises with general marine department for vessel certificate related matters.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Superintendent and Fleet Crew Boat Manager with the planning and execution of Dry-Dock.
  • Plan and organise interventions and visits of classification company.
  • Participate in the preparation of the lists of works for deck equipment.
  • Participate in the work to be done on the deck of the vessels.
  • Prepare the requisitions for the purchase of services and materials necessary for the operations of the fleet of FCB vessels (consumables and deck equipment, fuels, various inspections) and manages the stock.
  • Prepare the POs for local purchases.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels assigned to the base (Offshore or Onshore).
  • Supervise the Captains for all their missions in respect of contractual obligations towards customers.
  • In collaboration with the Technical Superintendent, participate in training and crew evaluation.
  • Ensure that Captains comply with all the company's procedures and regularly complete the reporting documents.
  • Ensure that all applicable customer procedures are known and followed by the crews.
  • Participate in the crew selection in collaboration with Technical Superintendent and the Fleet Manager.
  • Participate in the management of the crew and personal members in case of illness or injury, in coordination with QHSE Departments.
  • Communicate with customer representatives (offshore site managers, etc.) regarding any problems related to FCB crews and participates in meetings depending on the subjects.
  • In collaboration with the Fleet Crew Boat Manager, participate in the budget for the deck part of the vessel.
  • In collaboration with QHSE, ensure that the crews respect the HSE rules.
  • Actively participates in ensuring a healthy and safe workplace for all and no harm is caused to the environment.
  • Responsible for complying with all Company Management System guidelines and policies.
