Finance Manager

Our client is looking for a London based Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of reporting and compliance, ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations and proactively manages all additional requirements as they arise. 

You will work extensively with colleagues and stakeholders across the company, both in the UK and in Sweden, and oversee one direct report. In this role, you will also gain insight into board work and legal compliance, assuming the role of Company Secretary for the 6 companies managed from the London office.
  • Will have a strong general background in Accounting, Audit, Compliance and Taxation matters in a corporate environment and have an interest in applying this knowledge in an exciting team-based environment. 
  • Professional Accounting Qualification such as Chartered Accountant, ACCA or CIMA
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience with a demonstrable track record in core Accounting, Audit, Tax and Compliance
  • Good general awareness of all current UK related accounting and tax issues
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting, UK GAAP, IFRS, Company Law, UK tax matters and Audit requirements
  • Ability to relate to a positive can-do culture with a broad cross-section of colleagues
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Adaptable and flexible


  • Participation and oversight of Accounting, Group reporting, Financial Statements and Tax reporting
  • Participation, oversight and preparation for Annual and Interim audits with PwC
  • Management of other reporting requirements, including ONS and Corporate Governance
  • Act as Company Secretary, including preparation of Board packs, minutes, and Companies House updates
  • Manage and develop the Financial Accountant reporting directly
  • In coordination with group colleagues, assist with coordination of tax returns with KPMG, VAT returns and other tax matters
  • Oversight of record-keeping and internal and external contracts
  • Participate in ad-hoc and diverse projects within the Group and with colleagues
  • From time to time, you may be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position. 
  • There will also be the requirement to travel occasionally, both internally in the UK and to Sweden.
