We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our FS client in Glasgow.  The Financial Analyst will support the delivery of internal and external financial reporting including but not limited to: Funding requirements, Asset record analysis and Cash Sweep Reconciliations.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within financial services, ideally exposed to the secured lending or residential mortgage market
  • Advanced MS Office Skills, in particular Excel covering Pivot tables, Macros and advanced Excel Formula.
  • Experience of working as part of a small team and make effective contributions
  • Analysis of large and complex data sets
  • delivery of internal and external management information packs
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Preparation of the published suite of external reporting for investor purposes.
  • Data validation of the various reports used to produce the investor report (Asset Record, Principal and Interest Report, Principal Balances report).
  • Funder Cash Sweep and Balance reconciliation analysis.
  • Close liaison with the Business Intelligence team on data anomalies identified within the reports.
  • Work in conjunction with cash management team analysing transactions posted to the accounts.
  • Production of internal management information pack reporting on operational performance
  • Adherence to department policies and procedures, challenging any gaps identified and providing recommendations for change.
  • Proactive engagement with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the business.
  • Actively contribute to achievement of departmental Key Performance Indicator’s (KPIs) and Service Levels (SLAs).
  • Set high standards in relation to dealing with enquiries from other operational areas, demonstrating a desire and willingness to listen and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Take responsibility for maintaining own CPD (Continuous Professional Development) folder ensuring it is kept up to date.
  • Actively participate in department meetings ensuring minutes, actions and key updates are accurately recorded
