Fleet Crew Boat Manager

We are looking for a Fleet Crew Boat Manager to be based in Monaco on a permanent basis to oversee management of the fleet of crew boats in all the company’s locations.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • An Engineering or relevant technical degree and/or Marine qualification.
  • 10 years’ experience in shipping and/or the oil and gas sector. 
  • Experience as a Technical Superintendent in a shore-based position.
  • Previous experience with Crew Boats / Fast Support Vessels / Fast Supply Vessels.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Guarantee the best QHSE & operational standards along with the highest technical availability of the fleet.
  • Ensure that vessels are operated by highly qualified crews.
  • Optimize cost effectiveness ensuring the vessels are managed in line with the budgets while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Provide Logistics services and Technical support to the crew boats and other vessels.
  • Supervise the fleet management team, with a permanent focus on Cost optimization.
  • Operate the vessels in a cost-effective manner.
  • Lead the preparation of crew boats budgets and follow up insurance claims for crew boats.
  • Ensure budget follow up and cost monitoring with the support of Vessel Accountant.
  • Co-ordinate efficiently with the marine and marketing teams in the countries of operations.
  • Ensure formal and timely handovers as per contract deployment form.
  • Collate feedback on each client requirements and difficulties to put vessels on hire, in order to ensure a continuous improvement in contract deployment.
  • Sharing constraints regarding maintenance of vessels to optimize planning and utilization rate.
  • Promote transparent communication between operations, contract and vessels as well as client-oriented behaviours among teams and crews.
  • Coordinate with superintendents on the ground to ensure accurate and timely feedback is given to head office as well as effectively co-ordinating with all other departments.
  • Escalate issues to other head of departments or CEO in case of blockage or difficulties.
  • Propose process changes to facilitate smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Complete internal monthly reports, crew boats budgets and fleet management report as per company procedure.
  • Deliver logistic and technical support services as per LSA best cost optimizing logistic costs and ensuring day-to-day internal clients, through provision of logistic services.
  • Liaise with QHSE department for matters related to the crew boats ensuring continuous improvement of operational safety management knowledge and application by promoting the QHSE culture on-board vessels and at shore bases.
  • Ensure Shore based staff and crews receive necessary training to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
