Fleet Support Officer

Joining our client’s team in their Glasgow office, the Fleet Support Officer will be expected to support the ‘front line’ operations.  The team are responsible and accountable for the success of the operations and people on board their assigned vessels.

  • Support the Vessel Manager in all aspects of vessel operations and with sea staff performance reviews.
  • Manage all aspects of Vessel’s procurement including quotation, purchasing, delivery and invoicing processes. 
  • Manage all aspects of Vessel’s servicing requirements including scheduled, un-scheduled and items landed for repair. 
  • Participate in the development, maintenance and tracking of the yearly plans that include dockings, capital modifications/upgrades, projects, major storing and long-term asset management. 
  • Monitor and ensure stock levels ship and shore are maintained including all short and long-term warehousing activities. 
  • Participate in and contribute to the Risk Review process. 
  • Ensure all documentation for mini-teams is maintained including Vessel Certificates, Technical Library, PMS Change Requests, Vessel Drawings, Instruction Manual Registers, Service Letters and any other relevant documentation. 
  • Monitor and track all mini-team KPIs, vessel and system reports, participate in the development of proactive and corrective actions. 
  • Support and interact with other mini-teams to ensure continuity of service. 
  • Respond to feedback from external and internal customers to ensure consistent delivery of first class service and proactive resolution of any issues. 
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers. 
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with ship’s staff. 
  • Drive cost leadership within the mini-team. 
  • Participate in budget and quarter-end preparation. 
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure appropriate feedback process followed.
