Our Glasgow based Maritime client require a HR Systems Analyst to join them on their vision to become “Powered by Digital” and enhance their HR service delivery with an agile HR team that can provide added value to the company.  As HR Systems Analyst, you will place a large focus on HR technology and data to aid the company in achieving this goal, providing ongoing support, maintenance, and updates to the new Human Capital Management (HCM) system, Oracle HCM.
 
In addition, as HR Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for producing and using data from the HCM to work with the business to deliver meaningful, accurate, and timely HR analytics, KPIs, reports and dashboards that will support data-driven decisions.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • 1-3 years of Oracle HCM administration, configuration, and reporting experience.
  • Sound understanding of key HR processes.
  • Experience working and collaborating with a HR team.
  • Excellent human relations, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, in addition to strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Take initiative and has a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Able to manage confidential matters in a discreet manner.
  • Previous experience with HR and/or payroll systems (i.e., Shareworks, Cloudpay, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, etc) desirable.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Be the global system administrator for Oracle HCM.
  • Manage the quarterly release/updates process, including regression testing, tracking bugs, updating user guides, and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with consultants from Oracle HCM AMS team.
  • Educate stakeholders on enhancement opportunities and process improvements through new functionality delivered during system updates.
  • Analyse user requirements by working closely with internal teams to gather requirements, design, build, test, and deploy HCM functionality and processes for existing and new modules.
  • System configuration and testing.
  • Develop/customize reports and prepare data that support HCM, people analytics, and other areas as needed.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, including business process documentation, HR User Guides, and Employee User Guides.
  • Provide continuous improvement by reviewing business processes to identify/recommend new business processes and requirements.
  • Be the key liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT for the successful delivery of HR technology and data.
  • Support the coordination/implementation of future HR technology needs, additional HCM modules and/or data requirements.
  • Ensure HR data integrity and compliance with global data privacy and data protection guidelines.
  • Manage other HR Systems, such as Shareworks and Cloudpay integration with HCM.
  • Support with the exploration of alternative HCM systems to best fit with Company business needs.
