Seagoing experience in a senior position

Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSEQ Management role

Appropriate HSEQ qualification such as NEBOSH certification, diploma or relevant degree.

Provide advice on Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters to TGS Management Team
-
Ensure compliance with all agreed external management system standards (i.e., ISM Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)

Manage the HSEQ operational department including HSEQ Superintendents, Coordinators and Admin functions
-
Provide strategic direction for development and implementation of the Safety Management System
-
Provide direction and oversight of the DPA and CSO functions
-
Drive operational leadership in HSEQ matters
-
Work closely with the Head of Marine Quality Assurance, to ensure compliance with all legislation requirements
-
Establish and implement guiding principles and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of HSEQ
-
Work closely with the Quality Assurance departments both internally and global
-
Co-ordinate with TGS Management Team to set HSEQ objectives, targets as well as initiatives and strategies
-
Drive continuous improvement process initiatives to enhance safety and environmental throughout the TGS organization
-
In conjunction with the Fleet Teams, closely monitor the overall HSEQ performance of the Gas Fleet

Discuss analysis/trends of HSEQ data with TGS Management and proactively identify areas of risk
-
As a result of trend monitoring, work with the Fleet Team to identify and lead any campaigns/initiatives

Carry out audits, where required

Contribute to Incident Investigation. Depending on nature of incident, lead or support the Incident Investigation Team

A member of ERT during an emergency. Assist Incident Commander in initial response and standby to assist as required
-
Represent the company when required on HSEQ issues with regulatory authorities, industry associations, public/customer relations and community groups

Ensures the HSEQ team provides quality support and services aligned with the needs of internal customers
-
Provide analysis and feedback during Management Reviews on the overall effectiveness of existing policies, procedures and Fleet wide initiatives

Undertake other related activities as may be deemed necessary by the company
