Our client, based in Aberdeenshire, is on the lookout for a HSEQ Superintendent.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Previous seagoing experience.

Proven experience in a hands-on, HSE role / environment.

Good knowledge and experience in marine industry HSEQ practices, marine incident investigation and auditing.

Good knowledge in International Maritime Regulations, statutory requirements, Maritime Safety and Security Code (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS Code).
JOB DESCRIPTION

Drive operational leadership in relevant HSEQ matters.

Plan, develop, coordinate and implement effective HSEQ policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure that the Company objective are met.

Perform ISM / ISPS internal audits.

Monitor compliance with all agreed external management system standards (i.e., ISM Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).

Carry out shipboard / office / 3rd party contractor audits, where required.

Ensure incident reports are timely drafted and prepared to a high standard.

Monitor the completion and outcome of the Safety inspection reports.

Arrange, monitor and report management of statutory inspections and audits.

Chair Office HSEQ meeting and represent the client where required, on all HSEQ and Security issues.

Review risk assessments done by the crew, train the crew on safety matters and monitor the completion and outcome of the safety drills.
