IT Support (1st Line)

Our client requires a Junior IT Support Technician to join their 1st Line Team to provide technical support to the Business units and vessels globally in order to maintain IT business systems, data security and efficiency.
 
*This is an entry level position so would be would be ideal for a recent IT graduate
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • HNC/HND/Degree Graduate 
  • Previous Customer Service experience within a busy corporate role
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Willing to travel at short notice and have a flexible approach with the duration
Desirable;
  • Experience supporting PC hardware, printers, scanners, peripherals and mobile devices.
  • Experience of client PC connectivity (VPN, Ethernet and TCP/IP)
  • Experience of MS Office including Office 365
  • Support for Windows 7 & 10
  • Active Directory Admin
  • Professional qualifications in Microsoft applications and system support and administration
  • Experience of MS System Centre & Service Manager
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Troubleshoot, Problem Solve and fix and resolve IT issues efficiently and effectively
  • Provide good customer service to our user base through telephone,email and remote communications
  • Work as part of an on-call Support schedule (1 week in 5)
  • Ensure IT Support processes are followed and documented
  • Ensure that the asset database is maintained at all times
  • Responsible for installing authorised software on desktops/laptops as required
  • Highlighting improvements to processes to the IT Support Team Leader(s)
  • Responsible for supporting issues with IT equipment including phones, scanners and printers
  • Working closely with stakeholders in the business to improve customer relations and technical support
  • Ensure that all calls are logged and the IT Service Portal is kept up to date
  • Where required to do so - supervise/mentor junior IT support technicians as required
  • You may be asked to undertake other tasks that’s are considered to be relevant to your position
  • Knowledge base article creation
