Our Marine Digital Solutions client is looking to add a Lead Developer to their team.
As Lead Developer, you will run a development team creating applications from scratch, adding new modules to our current systems and providing 3rd line support for existing systems.
Our client is going through a transformational time as they migrate, refactor and replace most of their applications and infrastructure with a predominantly cloud based architecture. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and tools available in a predominantly Microsoft based environment.
In this Lead Developer role, you should be comfortable running the delivery of large projects and managing teams of up to 10 people. You will be responsible for the output of the team and ensuring work is delivered to the deadlines, requirements and quality agreed. You should be able to write high quality code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. Your goal will be to manage internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.
  • Experience with Microsoft .Net Technology including the C# programming language
  • In depth knowledge of SQL Server
  • Experience with Agile development practices, especially Scrum
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Active in wider IT community (for example, meet-ups, conferences etc)
  • Manage team of up to 10 other people – including developers and testers.
  • Coordinate the work carried out by the team across multiple projects.
  • Lead agile ceremonies as a Scrum Master
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software designs
  • Oversee the quality of work being carried out
  • Responsible for the full project lifecycle including proposal, design, development, testing and release.
  • Act as a mentor to more junior members of the team
  • Write clean, scalable code
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Develop documentation throughout the development process
  • Serve as an expert on applications. Provide technical support when required.
