Our Wind Energy client requires a Lead Trainer to lead their health, safety and technical training activities. The Lead Trainer role is key to take the training business to the next level by improving the existing course offering and developing new courses – many of which would be at a more advanced level and/or more bespoke in nature.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and dynamic company and work in a growing area. It would suit experienced trainers looking for an opportunity to work in a more entrepreneurial environment or wind supervisors / technicians / SHEQ with relevant field experience in SHEQ activities and with a passion for knowledge sharing and training.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in health, safety and / or technical training; and / or
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a field-based role in the wind industry with supervisory responsibility
  • Working knowledge of UK H&S requirements and standards, including Wind Turbine Safety Rules and GWO’s basic safety training requirements
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing and training
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A full UK driving license
 
JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Delivery of training courses such as; Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Confined Spaces, CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Devising and further developing relevant lesson plans, presentations and practical exercises for existing courses
  • Develop new course offerings such as emergency response evacuations and technical training
  • Keeping abreast of changes in legislation, industry lessons learned and liaising with relevant awarding bodies to ensure our training is best-in-class
