Our client, a dynamic Marine Software Start-up, is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager to be based in their Glasgow office. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of consultative software solution sales into Corporate Marine accounts. This is a great opportunity to help build an exciting new App that will revolutionise the way Seafarers manage their career.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Excellent knowledge of the Shipping/Maritime industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in selling software solutions
  • Excellent and verifiable written and verbal communication. In this role English will be the primary medium of communication. However, any grasp of another language – spoken or written – will be an advantage.
  • Qualities of honesty, trustworthiness and reliability are essential
  • For this role we require an individual who is self-motivated and driven to excel. To maximise the potential of this role the ideal candidate will have demonstrable sales leadership qualities.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Growing the number of clients globally (Shipping Companies)
  • Driving the full cycle of selling process from approaching new clients (cold calls) to completion of the contract. You will be given comprehensive product as well as sales support where you can focus purely on developing relationships with clients
  • Frequent travel will be required
  • Creating long term partnerships with clients.
