Our Ship Management client is looking for an Operations Officer to join their team based in Central London.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Previous experience within a ship management operations department.
  • University graduate/higher diploma/equivalent related qualifications.
  • Background in Shipping studies or relevant industry experience/knowledge.
  • Good MS office skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
 
As Operations Officer you will be responsible for supporting the operations for your assigned vessels, which will include:
  • Routine communications with vessels.
  • Monitoring and reporting vessel movements.
  • Keeping vessel’s insurance and trading certificates up to date, procuring new certificates and apply for port documents as required.
  • P&I Claims Handling.
  • Issuing invoices for recovery of expenses
  • Maintain Records for Time Loss, SDR, Claims, Certificates, Insurance, Voyage Information, etc
  • Plan annual SSAS tests with UK and IOM flag vessels and carry out agency appointments as required.
