Our Scottish Ship Building client requires a Planning Manager to join them.   Previous Ship Building experience is essential for this role. 
 
JOB DESCRIPTION 
 
  • Ensure project requirements are defined, reviewed and fully agreed
  • Produce fully resourced multi-level project plans, ensuring these reflect project objectives
  • Ensure all aspects of the programme are fully defined to achieve customer requirements
  • Maintain and manage the project plan
  • Accurately record and report progress of planned targets for budget, schedule and quality
  • Carry out cost and schedule project performance reviews
  • Manage programme risks through the risk register medium
  • Identify, manage and support the resolution of project-specific issues
  • Compile and issue workpacks to support scheduled work packages
  • Identify the materials, sub-contracts and services required in support of the work
  • Ensure critical requirements are met to support inspection schedules
  • Liaise with the customer and Drawing Office to resolve any technical issues
  • Attribute accurate resources to each activity to maintain accurate EV
  • Analyse project information to produce weekly and monthly KPI reports
