Planning Manager

Joining our clients planning department, as Planning Manager you will be required to review and understand all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project and establish project control procedures, identifying the level of resources required.
Duties will include:
  • Develop in conjunction with the Project Manager, production and Client a suitable Work Breakdown Structure for the project.
  • Communicate cost and schedule baselines. Ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
  • Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with the Project Coordination Procedure.
  • Supervise the activities of the planning group both in their productivity and the technical adequacy of their output.
  • Relevant Engineering Degree
  • Highly experienced in ship repair planning (15yrs +)
  • Vast knowledge of marine production, including pipe, steel, welding, and mechanical.
  • Proven experience with ship repair standards, class requirements and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with ship owners and clients during ship inspections.
  • Fully conversant in the techniques required for production/resources management.
  • Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
Please note there will be an element of travel involved within this role.
