PMS Engineer

We have an exciting new opportunity for a PMS Engineer to join our global Oil & Gas service client, to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The PMS Engineer will be responsible ensuring that the company’s computer based planned maintenance system (CBPMS) is satisfactorily implemented and maintained and compliance of system by routine audits. The PMS Engineer is the key person relating to all aspects of the CBPMS.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Sea going experience in an engineering position
  • Trained in ERP systems
  • Experience & knowledge of warehouse and stock inventory processes.
  • Working experience in management of marine planned maintenance systems.
  • Experience in implementing marine based planned maintenance systems.
  • Understanding of client/server applications based on web technologies. 
  • Excellent skills in using MS Office Excel.
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and to multitask.
  • With good command of English Language.
  • Excellent communicator
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Maintains the CBPMS.
  • Upgrades the CBPMS where necessary and where patches / upgrades become available.
  • Performs data entry for all aspects of the CBPMS (Work orders, standard jobs etc.)
  • Identifies weak points in the CBPMS and makes proposals to close the gaps (positive solutions with budgetary costs).
  • Visits each vessel twice per year and audits the CBPMS.
  • Performs training to office staff and sea staff on the use of the CBPMS. Vessel Query support including vessel visits to resolve issues.
  • Assists the Operations Department whenever possible (following up purchase orders, inputting standard jobs, etc.)
  • Informs all vessel and barges whenever there are changes in system.
  • Performs related necessary work assigned from time to time.
  • Ensuring timely receipt and entering data from vessel daily and monthly performance reporting and entering into dashboards and reports. Ensure the accuracy and validity of vessel dashboards.
  • Work is carried out within the general policies, principles and goals of the company and is subject to direction for guidance on policy issues and has accountability and delegated authority.
  • Supporting the vessels/office for Requisitions/Service Orders.
  • Repair Management Issues “Disturbance system” support of Ship Defect Reporting.
  • Setup of PMS for New Projects/Vessels.
  • To maintain and update the control stores as per HSE
  • Control of Parts & Stores database for all Vessels, Head Office & UK Office.
  • PMS overdue weekly reporting to M&T Manager and Ops. Director.
  • Submission of Monthly and Annual performance/Analysis reports to Ops. Director.
