Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to join their Flexlay Solutions Team in Aberdeen, to work in a crucial role delivering assigned technical packages in support of the sales and delivery functions.
Working closely with the sales team during late proposal stages and with project managers throughout the delivery stage, the Flexlay Project Engineer ensures that clients' technical requirements are clearly understood and addressed appropriately at every project phase.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent field, or equivalent experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Technical Sales Support:
-
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the company have a clear understanding of the customer's technical requirements

Work closely with the sales team during later proposal stages to fully align suitable equipment to perform operational tasks onshore & offshore, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with client needs.

Support meetings with relevant sales team members during live projects or ongoing tenders (technical sales support, technical clarifications, equipment allocation etc.)
Technical Project Support:

Ensure customers’ requirements are clearly understood and defined, and work to incorporate them into setup reports and the project management plan.

Assist in preparing technical deliverables for rental projects, such as project specifications, reports, and documentation.

Manage risks to avoid project delays, cost variances or reputational damage.
Technical Package Delivery:

Contribute to the successful delivery of technical packages for rental projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and specifications.

Supports the management of all project interfaces

Knowledge of current good engineering practice.

Sign & issue technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting responsibility for its adequacy.

Support the development of project-specific procedures for the implementation of work scopes, including method statements, operating manuals, FAT procedures, etc.
Team Collaboration:

Build a strong and effective working relationship with project managers, customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams.

Maintain open and effective communication with various teams involved in rental projects, fostering collaboration and ensuring that technical concerns are addressed promptly.

Ensure all procedures and processes are rigorously adhered to throughout the project.

Contribute to lessons learned for all ongoing & completed projects, actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
