We are currently looking for a Construction Project Manager for one of our clients in Glasgow. This will be an ongoing contract position for candidates with extensive building projects experience to include infrastructure - electrical, mechanical etc.
The Successful Applicant

Must have extensive construction project management experience (circa 10 years)

Experience heading up projects with budgets £1M+

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Description

Be forward looking in anticipating issues which may delay the works and proactively working with the contractor to suggest ways of mitigating these.

Reviewing the contractors programme and resourcing strategy and making recommendations to ensure the project priorities are achieved.

Implement quick and decisive actions to ensure the project is driven forwards.

Monitor works against the contractor’s programme and identify where remedial action is needed to maintain critical path.

Good understanding of building regulations and statutory requirements for design and construction works to inform QA reviews.

Coordination with Clients checking team to ensure observations and drawing comments are raised and closed out in a timely manner.

Coordinating with the Client’s management team to assist in the handover of the project.

Engagement with Retailers and Client management team to ensure retail units are fully operational whilst Construction works progress.

Accurate site record keeping
