We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Analyst to join our ship management client. As Purchasing Analyst, you will support the Head of Purchasing and the Purchasing team with the reporting of monthly performance, identifying external and internal performance trends, and identifying cost reduction targets.
 
In addition, the Purchasing Analyst will also be involved in ad hoc projects relating to process improvements and system implementations.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Educated to degree level
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • Sufficient experience within a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Provide analytical support to the Purchasing team and wider internal stakeholders - this support will include: spend analysis, opportunity analysis, supplier / market analysis, preparation of business cases and tender analysis / scoring
  • Prepare regular reports to the Purchasing team and wider internal stakeholders (KPIs, Cost Reduction targets, Project Milestones etc)
  • Support the management and maintenance of the Purchasing systems (Purchase order, Contracts Database, Spend Analysis, Sourcing etc.) including training and providing user support
  • Consistently seek improvement to financial processes, controls, procedures, presentations, and reporting
  • Review risk register and report / advise on scoring
  • Any other ad hoc duties that are considered to be relevant to your role
