Our Glasgow based client is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer who will be responsible for providing support to the Lead Quality Assurance Officer and administration of the Quality Assurance systems and programs.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Preferably experience working in a comparable role with similar systems (e.g., Q88, OCIMF SIRE).
  • A high level of competency in using MS applications and database entry.
  • Strong organizational skill.
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Preferably with knowledge of maritime shipping industry.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Maintain vessel inspection (SIRE, Flag) planning sheet.
  • Schedule and arrange vessel inspections (SIRE and Flag).
  • Communicate vessel inspection planning and arrangement with the vessel and operations team.
  • Make applications for SIRE inspections via OCIMF booking portal.
  • Update MMS VIS system with inspection requests and inspection responses for vessels charterer to Petronas.
  • Import SIRE reports into NS HSEQ system upon release of the SIRE inspection report.
  • Input approved SIRE responses into OCIMF / NS HSEQ system.
  • Input PSC and Flag Inspection reports into NS HSEQ system.
  • Update vessel inspection (SIRE, PSC, Flag) KPI sheet.
  • Upload closed SIRE, PSC and Flag inspection reports.
  • Send PSC inspection reports to Bahamas flag administration for the Bahamian vessels.
  • Monitor and ensure vessels are maintaining updated certificates in OCIMF repository.
  • Processing of vessel inspection invoices.
  • Upload PSC reports into OCIMF data repository.
  • Upload crew matrices into OCIMF portal.
  • Upload all matrices into OCIMF database on the 1st of each month.
  • Input data into internal and external reports (monthly and quarterly reports).
  • Provide information and reports related to vessel inspections to the Operations team when requested.
  • Provide administrative support for management system (POLARIS) procedural changes.
  • Provide administrative support for application and renewal of US COFR, Vessel General Permit and Marine Invasive Species Program.
  • Provide administrative support for updates to regulatory shipboard manuals (SOPEP, VRP, CAVCP, Biofouling).
  • Provide administrative support for Quality Assurance bulletin.
