Quality Operational Acceptance Manager

We have a requirement for a Quality Operational Acceptance Manager to join our client in Greenwich. 
The Quality Operations Acceptance Manager role is responsible for ensuring that all Telecom & Oil & Gas product lines, or other manufactured equipment are successfully transferred from manufacturing to Projects and assist Project teams in ensuring acceptance by customers.
  • Relevant technical Degree or above in engineering, technology or operations.
  • Able to participate in the implementation of QHSE policies and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of defined QHSE rules.
  • Able to assess the ISO9001/TL9000 Quality System, and Customer contract Quality activities.
  • Five years’ experience of quality management in a customer facing industrial role.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of financial accountability for meeting project targets and cash income billing milestones.
  • Ability to easily communicate and co-ordinate with project teams.
  • Good experience electronics/optics manufacture is a strong advantage.
  • Good written and oral communications skills with a high level of pc literacy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a cross-functional team environment at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, adapt quickly to new requirements and work under pressure.
  • Provide quality management leadership to ensure customer satisfaction for all acceptance activities.
  • Plan and facilitate all customer acceptance activities in line with project requirements.
  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of the Quality Operations Acceptance activities to meet targets and deadlines.
  • To work with the IS&O team to develop and improve data capture processes so there is continuous improvement of automated factory data analysis and reporting for internal and external purposes.
  • Ensure that all non-conformities are properly closed in conjunction with Quality Control and that any concessions are correctly documented and approved for audit purposes.
  • To support any technical investigation activities in conjunction with other departments to investigate abnormalities or risks that could prevent successful customer acceptance.
  • To support any RCA activities as required to determine root cause and corrective actions to ensure processes work effectively to minimise the cost of non-quality. Ensure adequate planning and preparation is done to prevent first off customer acceptance risks for all newly introduced products.
  • Provide support to all project acceptance activities to ensure any customer audits are planned and executed under the leadership of Project Quality managers to meet project dates for departure for laying operations.
  • Ensure regular communication with the project teams to meet Plan of Works and billing milestones.
  • Ensure all acceptance questions from project teams and customers are adequately answered in conjunction with Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quality Control.
  • In conjunction with the Project Quality manager ensure customer satisfaction feedback is obtained and recorded for quality management tracking and reporting.
