Working in a truly exciting space, we are looking for a Scientific Analyst to join our client, a global Insurance provider, to support a growing team in the creation of innovative and meaningful services built on robust science that delivers unique value to their members. Drawing on statistical and analytical skills we are looking for a Scientific Analyst who will help enable our client to take a leadership position in Health and Wellbeing. You will be at the cutting edge of bringing together scientific designs and ideas into real life production and delivering experience driven behaviour change and measurable health risk reduction for their customers.
If you are at the start of your career after recently finishing University or if you would like to move into a commercial area while retaining all of your academic skills, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. The opportunity will offer Hybrid working with the successful applicant required to work from the London office one day per week.
  • Ideally a master’s degree in Public Health, biological sciences, or relevant subject matter expertise
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Outstanding statistical and analytical skills, comfortable with epidemiological data analysis
  • Knowledge of how calculation and associated technologies work and why (Stata, R, MATLAB, SPSS, Python)
  • Deep data and calculation centric product knowledge
  • Experimentational with data through mathematical modelling
  • Building strong customer advocacy and experience in applying insight to innovation
  • Gap analysis and requirement documents
  • Highly comfortable with mathematics, Excel and analysis-based tools
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
  • Debating and articulating scientific evidence base and make it accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Support the development of scientifically backed algorithms to help people understand their health and wellbeing needs, so they can take action to improve
  • Building strong customer advocacy and applying insight to innovation
  • Design, build and launch innovative, successful new wellbeing propositions to global customers
  • Collaborating with peers across the business including Data Scientists, Wellbeing Service Design and Proposition teams
  • Synthesising large amounts of structured and unstructured data to draw out the strongest evidence base to design scientific products
