We are seeking a Senior Manager, who is a client-focussed, service-orientated, committed professional, to join our client in Guernsey to work within their Client Services Team.   You will take on day-to-day responsibility, management and development of the Client Services team and be expected to contribute effectively towards the wider development of the business

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
 
  • A relevant professional qualification is essential as is a history of having functioned successfully at management level within fiduciary services for a number of years. Ideally a member of STEP or ICSA.
  • Well-rounded technical knowledge of the role and fiduciary sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fiduciary services practise
  • Professional management of client relationships
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strength in written and spoken communication
  • Software skills in Microsoft products and relevant functional support software
  • Knowledge of local and global compliance issues
 
JOB DESCRIPTION 
 
  • Provide high level management overview and technical support to the Client Services Department and acting as liaison between the Board and the team, reporting on team or client issues and disseminating information to the team when required.
  • Implement and monitor supervisory and management practices that ensure department productivity and client services’ standards are maintained.
  • Assist the Director to monitor and ensure that chargeable targets and efficiencies are achieved.
  • Take appointments as personal Director to Client Companies and in-house Corporate Director Companies.
  • Act as signatory for the company and its various licensed trustee companies and nominee shareholding companies both for bank signatory purposes and for client affairs.
  • Take responsibility for the administration of a portfolio of the company’s more valued or complex clients.
  • Sit on in-house Committees, providing reports where relevant and acting as liaison between the Committees, the Board and the Managers of the teams.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of in-house training/evaluation programmes and internal processes to ensure the continued development of efficiencies and delivery of service and assisting with the recruitment, development and training of staff by providing mentoring, or on the job training, and where necessary undertaking appraisal and disciplinary meetings.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a compliance culture, assisting the company to develop systems and processes that minimise reputational risk to the company without distracting staff from the primary focus of delivering excellent client service.
  • Represent the company to clients, intermediaries, service providers, external agencies, and professional bodies both on and off the island.
  • Identify marketing opportunities both within the existing client base and externally and to pro-actively seek ways to increase revenue.
