Our client is looking for an Avaloq Expert to join their team in Edinburgh as a Senior Operations Analyst.  You will Perform functions as assigned by Management in either Cash Processing, Reconciliation or Settlements and assist with the development and support of the team.  You will contribute to the maintenance of procedures and controls as well as ensure risks are minimised and that Company standards and industry regulations are met.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Experience of using the Avaloq system is essential.  (Applications will not be accepted if you do not have Avaloq experience)
  • Experience within the Financial Services Industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Training/coaching and development of others
  • Experience in a Client service environment
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral
  • Accurate, with attention to detail
  • Effective time management with ability to manage own workload
  • Proven team player
  • Self-starter with confidence to use own initiative
  • Work towards within agreed timescales the IOC Merit Award with a minimum of 2 exam passes (desirable)
 
JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support the Manager in production of relevant MI
  • Work with Manager to identify areas for continuous improvement to working practices
  • Support delivery of projects where appropriate
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Take ownership for driving own personal development in line with company values
  • Proactively contribute to your interim and annual reviews with Manager
  • Use experience to support coaching and training of other staff members
  • Adapt to industry and business changes
  • Maintain an open line of communication with team, Management and clients
  • Escalate issues to Manager when required and suggest practical solutions
  • Participate in effective meetings
  • Understanding of the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), AAF and CASS controls within team.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks and suggest practical solutions
  • Ensure timely reporting of all Operational Issues, Risks and Near Misses
