Stockfile Administrator

Our Financial Services client is one of the leading independent wealth management companies in the UK and they are looking for a Stockfile Administrator to join their Business Support team on a 6-month FTC. (You may also recognise this job title as a Market Data Administrator) In this role you will perform functions as assigned by Management, assist with the development, and support of the team and contribute to the maintenance of procedures and controls. You will also ensure risks are minimised and that the clients’ standards and industry regulations are met.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Knowledge of different security types and their characteristics (i.e., equities, bonds, funds, and structured products)
  • Familiarity with using data vendors for researching anomalies and queries (i.e., Bloomberg, Telekurs, ICE)
  • Knowledge of security reference data related to the MiFID II regulation such as complex products, target market, and cost and charges
  • Understanding of different pricing methodologies and the calculation of income yields
  • Experience within the Financial Services Industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Training/coaching and development of others
  • Experience in a Client service environment, effective communication skills both written and oral
  • Accurate, with attention to detail
  • Effective time management with ability to manage own workload
  • Proven team player
  • Self-starter with confidence to use own initiative
  • Desirable to be working towards IOC Merit Award with a minimum of 2 exam passes
JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support the Manager in production of relevant MI
  • Work with Manager to identify areas for continuous improvement to working practices
  • Support delivery of projects where appropriate
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and always ensure confidentiality
  • Adapt to industry and business changes
  • Escalate issues to Manager when required and suggest practical solutions
  • Participate in effective meetings
  • Understanding Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), AAF and CASS controls within team
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks and suggest practical solutions
  • Ensure timely reporting of all Operational Issues, Risks and Near Misses
