We are on the lookout for a Technical Superintendent to be based in Abu Dhabi for our client, a global Oil & Gas service company.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide Jacking System assurance for the fleet by being the technical authority.

Provide Marine Engineering assurance for the fleet by being the internal technical authority.

Provide marine engineering expertise for the execution and improvement of planned maintenance. Assist with the development of the CMMS.

Ensure that company’s computer based planned maintenance systems (CMMS) is satisfactorily implemented and maintained.

Minimise vessel downtime.
-
Promote and incident free safety culture.
-
Assist Fleet Managers and Operations Superintendents as requested with regards to maintenance and resolution of breakdowns.

Provide backup to other technical superintendents, cranes and E&I.

Provide backup to Operations Department covering Fleet Manager and Operations Superintendents.

To fulfil the role of Port Engineer, as may be required by certain clients.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
-
Served as Chief Engineering Officer On-board Marine vessels for a minimum of 3 years.

STCW Class A-111/2 cert of competence
-
Excellent knowledge of Flag State, IMO and Classifications Society procedures and regulations.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential. Knowledge in other MS Office package such as PowerPoint and Project would be an advantage.

Knowledge of planned maintenance systems.

People management skills preferably gained from working in a multicultural environment.

Proven track record in intermediate and special dry docking, ship repair, mobilisation / demobilisation of vessels and barges and new builds.

Good project management skills.
-
Ability to interact with and satisfy client requirements.
-
Jack-up vessel operation experience.
