Our client is looking for a Voyage Manager to support front line operations and the operational mini-team structure.  Working as the Voyage Manager you will be the day to day face to many charterers supporting the LNG fleet.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Drive operational and cost leadership 
  • Work closely with all members of the gas fleet, ship and shore, to enhance commercial performance 
  • Assist in the completion of budget and quarter-end preparation and corporate reporting for vessels. 
  • Liaise with Charterers, review their instructions and issue voyage specific instructions to vessels as required. 
  • Effectively monitor and implement key clauses of relevant charter parties to ensure consistent commercial operations. 
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed with regards to handling of Bills of Lading, Letters of Protest and Letters of Indemnity, liaising with all parties where necessary. 
  • For all vessels, Time Chartered and Bareboat prepare, review and approve all monthly hire statements. 
  • Ensure all TCP Invoices are adjusted to provide for any deductions (Off Hire, Performance Claims etc.) as well as for any amounts that are re-billable to the Charterer. 
  • Appoint and liaise with port agents to ensure smooth operational turnaround and work with the Vessel Managers and Team Libra Voyage Accountant to ensure Port Costs are properly invoiced and controlled. 
  • Maintain adequate in-depth voyage records by all accepted documentation means including active voyage files, software tools and emails as per various company guidelines. 
  • Review vessels performance against charter party requirements and seek remedial actions where necessary with respective Vessel Managers. 
  • Ensure vessels are monitored for idle time and slow steaming and requests to Charterers for effective remedial measures and or preventative measures are requested in good time. 
  • Ensure vessels properly submit data to the LNG Performance Tool and on completion of a voyage, together with Performance Manager, review the data and highlight any issues to the Vessel Manager for action. 
  • Undertake Ship-shore compatibility work as required and co-ordinate with Charterers and Terminals to ensure that we meet all requirements of vessel acceptance and Terminal Compatibility. 
  • Attend vessels whenever possible within agreed Team budgets, sign off from Vessel Manager or Fleet Director. 
  • Proactively engage in continuous improvement of management structure and management systems. 
  • Participate in Officer’s Conferences and Seminars as required. 
  • Respond to feedback from external and internal customers to ensure consistent delivery of first class service and proactive resolution of any issues 
  • Regularly provide feedback, both positive and negative, from Customers to Fleet Director
  • Undertake other related activities as may be deemed necessary by the company.
