Business Intelligence Analyst

• Experience in Data Analysis and System Development
• Substantial working experience of Hyperion Essbase or similar OLAP tool
• Understanding of report generation, database file/table structure, data extract and load for databases such as SQL Server
• An understanding of database querying including MSSQL/MYSQL
• Proven experience in design and development of MS Access databases
• Proven experience in Excel, VBA coding, Formula, Pivots
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
• Develop and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing changes and corrections
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong and reliable team player who can deliver results under pressure
• Ability to use initiative and react proactively with little or no supervision

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Good knowledge of business processes and brand awareness

Essbase – maintenance of current applications

• Monthly population of databases with emphasis on accuracy and data integrity. Restructure to reflect ever changing business requirements.

Essbase – maintenance of security profiles

• Add new users, delete leavers and update user access rights as required.

Essbase – support and train users

• User’s first port of call for help and assistance.

Forecasting – maintenance of current models

• Models covering most aspects of the business are used in the calculation of Strategic Plans, Budgets and Latest Estimates. These must be refreshed and updated in line with business requirements

Forecasting – development of new models

• Design and develop new robust models with efficient interfaces to Essbase and other business systems moving away from MS Access to SQL environment

Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise 1 – Budget and Latest Estimate loads

• Responsible for loading forecasting data to E1 ensuring completeness and accuracy.
