The Business Support Technician will be responsible for delivering quality technical support services for our client, a large ship-owner/manager based in Glasgow.
Main Responsibilities

Troubleshoot I.T issues from Junior Business Support Technician.

Ensure business support processes are followed and documented.

Ensure that the asset database is maintained at all times.
-
Responsible for installing authorised software on desktops/laptops as required.

Highlighting improvements to processes to the Business Support Team Leader.

Responsible for supporting issues with I.T equipment including scanners and printers.

Working closely with stakeholders in the business to improve customer relations and
-
technical support.

Ensure that all calls are logged and the system is kept up to date.

This role will involve travelling to various destinations around the world. To be considered
candidates must have a current clean UK driving license and Current UK Passport.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:

HNC in I.T related discipline or equivalent

Previous helpdesk experience

Experience supporting PC hardware, printers, scanners, peripherals and mobile devices.

Experience of client PC connectivity (VPN, Ethernet and TCP/IP)

Knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange, and MS Office packages.

Good attention to detail
