We are looking for a Credit Underwriter to join our client in Glasgow. You will be working within a team of credit analysts to analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

A minimum of 5 years underwriting experience (ideally within loans and/or asset finance) is essential

Ability to make decisions on a rate for risk basis

Highly numerate with the ability to analyse complex financial statements and information

Possess a deep understanding of the finance market ideally within SME
-
Sound awareness of market landscape, competitors, relevant instruments within the market and knowledge of how the business functions

Knowledge of accounting theories (desirable)

Ability to spot improvements to procedures (desirable)
