We have an opportunity for a Crew Coordinator to join a ship management company at their office in Paisley.  
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a shipping environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Windows packages is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good administration and data entry experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for crew activities related to their specified group of ships
  • Oversee/complete crew documentation –license, visas, courses, employment contracts
  • Oversee/organise travel arrangements, visa applications where needed
  • Maintain rotation plans for achieving stability on board
  • Arrange all relevant courses and training required to keep seafarers up to date with legal requirements
  • Daily contact with all sub-offices regarding crew planning
  • Maintain close contact with vessels regarding crew issues
  • Regular contact with port agents in respect of crew changes
  • Co-ordinate crew activity with Master and Superintendents
  • Keep a record of crew retention rates
  • Conduct ship visits as required
  • Monitor and audit CBT training records
