Our marine client in Port of Glasgow is looking for an experienced Document Controller, on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a Document Controller you will be supporting the drawing office manager through providing a professional, efficient, and effective technical service to the business.

Minimum 3 years in a similar position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supporting and contributing to the Department Strategy and Plan, as appropriate.

Assisting in ensuring support is aligned to business objectives.

Responsible for ensuring the document schedule is continually updated and in line with drawing office and production needs.

Ensuring that FMEL D.O. document title blocks are correctly completed (correct revision, dates, etc.) prior to issue.

Production of status reports for project management, expediting both engineering and vendor documentation.

Liaison with construction personnel, sub-contractors, and statutory bodies etc.

Arranging for the printing and efficient distribution of all types of engineering documents; preparation of documentation for final handover (both hard copy and electronically) and close out and archiving of final documentation.

Preparing schedules and transmittals using the supplied software.

Responsible for regularly liaising with subcontractors.

Responsible for regularly liaising with the Client and Lloyd.

Responsible for regularly liaising with Production.

Assist the drawing office and team members.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER
Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum DOE + benefits package.
