We require a HR Assistant for a 12-month fixed term contract, to join our client based in Gourock. 
Please note there will be remote working in line with Government guidelines.
 
The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the HR Services team and HR Manager in all aspects of the work of the HR department, but with particular focus on absence management administration, recruitment administration, the maintenance of HR system records and pension administration. This support will allow the HR Services team to work on embedding a new HR system.

  • Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Numerate, able to manipulate, analyse and present data to provide meaningful management information.
  • Able to work accurately and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Able to work flexibly on both routine and more complex tasks.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to listen carefully and respond appropriately to customer queries.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and be proactive in offering assistance to colleagues.
  • Keen to look for ways to continuously improve the HR processes and play an active role in improving the service to the business.
Desirable Criteria
  • HR degree or working towards CIPD.
  • Experience in administration during an on boarding process.
  • Experience in recruitment processes.
JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Responding to general HR queries from both employees and managers.
  • Taking personal ownership for resolving issues but escalating where appropriate to an HRBP or member of the senior HR team.
  • Updating employee records on the payroll system.
  • Raising Purchase Orders for the department.
  • Carrying out any other duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the HR department.
  • Assisting with the recruitment process; interview scheduling, CV screening, liaising with candidates & producing offer paperwork.
  • Updating absence records and filing absence paperwork.
