Planned Maintenance Support

Our Glasgow based client is looking for a Planned Maintenance Support to join their team.  The position is responsible to the Maintenance Manager for providing general support to the development of the NS planned maintenance system.
  • Knowledge of propulsion plant onboard vessels.
  • Knowledge of cargo containment system, cargo handling equipment and systems on board vessels.
  • Good knowledge in International Maritime Regulations & statutory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Knowledge of Nautical systems (NS).
  • Analytical, problem solving, time management, project management and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have sailed as a Fourth Engineer or Third Assistant Engineer
  • Assist in reviewing standard jobs against relevant legislative requirements, Safety Management System and manufacturers’ guidelines and making relevant change to the jobs in NS.
  • Restructure the NS planned maintenance system on guidance from the Maintenance Manager / Fleet teams by making the changes within NS.
  • Planned maintenance data clean-up by removing / combining jobs in NS where possible to streamline operations.
  • Audit changes made to planned maintenance system, to ensure management of change procedure is adhered to and followed through with changes in NS.
  • Work with vendors & planned maintenance group to develop Condition Based Monitoring reporting in Planned Maintenance within NS.
  • Monitor and report on faults with Planned Maintenance Systems.
  • Assist ship teams with preparation of dry dock specifications by making changes in NS and updating on completion.
  • Support Marine and Technical Group Services in projects as required.
  • Support Planned Maintenance group in projects as required.
