We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our ship management client. The Strategic Procurement Manager will proactively lead all strategic sourcing requirements across the Organization – including all direct sourcing (planned and reactive), as well as some indirect souring.
This post may be aligned to a customer or category where required, but will operate flexibly to meet workload demands across the sourcing team.

3 Years of experience within a similar role

CIPS qualification or equivalent is desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION
-
Manage strategic sourcing through its full lifecycle, assuming a high degree of autonomy and self-sufficiency

Implement supplier and category management strategies based on value and complexity

Utilise automated sourcing tools, where available to optimise efficient time and resource during sourcing/tender projects

Build spend monitoring and analysis measures and capabilities utilising data to investigate trends and optimise spending

Investigate supplier capabilities/markets, as required, to identify emerging developments and supplier solutions that bring fresh insight and leverage to sourcing projects

Contribute to achieving savings target through planned sourcing, this will be set annually by the Head of Procurement

Be accountable for delivering against an annual target, working with the Head of Procurement to build a forecast that requires both timely and on target delivery

Engaging with the wider business and building a stakeholder network

Liaise with cross functional stakeholders through the full sourcing journey, educating and influencing stakeholders in relation to the process

Contribute to improved customer service through effective supplier management

Ensure supplier sustainability requirements and targets are met and maintained
