We have a new requirement for a Project Manager to join our client in Glasgow City Centre.  This is a fast paced role covering business change and formal project delivery.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Previous experience in working as a change and project analyst / manager role with recognised qualifications
  • Experience setting up and running change and project structures from startup
  • Experience of working on IT/IS projects / programs as well as cultural / non-system change
  • Experienced in coordinating and chairing requirement workshops
  • Ability to write concise requirements documentation
  • Ability to analyse and summarise information
  • Experienced in writing procedural and process documentation
  • Experienced planner with evidence of prioritisation, organisational and implementation skills.
  • Manages stakeholder groups, balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
  • Technically literate, with advanced Project software skills with ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience in Financial services, specifically Mortgage Lending
  • Able to hit the ground running and demonstrate a persistent drive to complete initiatives
  • Skilled in writing formal and informal reports to communicate the status of projects and change
Desirable Experience:
  • Vendor Sourcing and Management experience
  • Quality Assurance (formal)
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manage projects through the full project life cycle, from initiation through to implementation
  • Document business requirements clearly and gain approval and sign offs
  • Ensure agreed methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the change & project lifecycle
  • Identify and develop Service Improvement Plans to address business needs or gain efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain an end to end project plan that delivers the agreed scope of the project to time, budget and quality criteria.
  • Co-ordinate workstream activities, agree milestones and gather updates from project team members
  • Maintain change log, RAID logs, and project plans, including communicating progress updates, milestone summaries overall project plan progress updates
  • Produce timely, precise, accurate and comprehensive project MI reporting on behalf of work streams or change initiatives
  • Act as Chair for change and project meetings/ workshops as required, compile and issue meeting minutes
  • Experience in project governance including record keeping, approvals and sign off
  • Chair regular status meetings with project teams and users
  • Procedure mapping, creating materials to support the implementation of change, knowledge documentation for hand over to Training / other departments
  • Ensure all 3rd party suppliers are engaged appropriately, and contracts are in place and managed to ensure the required outcomes for the business.
