We are recruiting for a Resource Planner/Scheduler to join our client in Dundee. As Resource Planner/Scheduler you will be responsible for the co-ordination of activities and resources in support of technical projects, specifically manpower allocation and management through the leadership of a collaborative and dynamic planning process.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with an awareness of Marine, Upstream, Midstream & Downstream market sectors

Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar role, with the focus on planning and people management

Good education background to higher national/degree level

Good command of oral and written English

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity

Proven experience in matrix-manging multi-disciplinary teams

JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary functions of the Resource Planner/Scheduler is to ensure that manpower is being allocated in a rational, fair efficient and cost-effective manner. Line management of the offshore personnel. Collation and retention of customer performance feedback

Matrix manage multi-discipline teams

Motivate and develop through leadership and example identifying and agreeing learning development needs as required

Responsible for and maintenance of a robust filing system for project documentation (paper and electronic copies) which adheres to the Quality Management System

Plan and co-ordinate manpower movements/rotations of offshore personnel including the planning and implementation of travel and accommodation logistics

Responsible for the continuous monitoring and troubleshooting of manpower requirements versus manpower availability
-
Reviewing and authorising offshore personnel expense submissions in accordance with the Company Expenses Policy and Procedure

Focused and adherent to cost-reduction initiatives

Ensuring that industry led certification requirements (medical, offshore survivals etc.) are monitored, managed and complied with.

Plan and obtain all necessary overseas work/travel documentation (for all personnel), such as work permits and travel visas in line with manpower schedule and client expectations and requirements

Line Manage and performance manage offshore personnel and Project Delivery Co-ordinators

Responsible for ensuring that client driven training is organised and adhered to prior to personnel movements

Provide leadership to those involved in a project by defining work and ensuring deadlines are understood and adhered to and that project objectives are clearly articulated and understood

Responsible for the compilation and issuance of pre-project briefings and mobilisation instructions

Liaise with HSSEQ in the conducting of pre-mobilisation risk assessments based on geographical and project hazards

Responsible for the collection and recording of all offshore personnel performance data (i.e. client and colleague feedback)

Responsible for the collection and recording of all project feedback
-
Promotion and adoption of FPAL as the primary source of performance data collection within the UK.

Actively participate in the Operational department, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice

Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with Company/Group policies, procedures, standards and work instructions

Make a proactive contribution to the successful implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety & Environmental policies and processes
