Our client, based in Cork, are recruiting for a Technical Superintendent. As a Technical Superintendent you will be responsible for overseeing the technical management of offshore/towage vessels. This includes ensuring vessel safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
THE SUCCESFUL APPLICANT

Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent, Class 1 Certificate of Competency (preferred).

Ideally, a minimum 3 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent or similar role (however would also look at candidates looking to move from ship to shore).

Strong knowledge of the offshore and / or survey vessel operations.

Familiarity with PMS and dry dock management.

Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage the technical performance of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and international regulations.

Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Implement and monitor planned maintenance systems (PMS).

Control budgets for technical operations and ensure cost efficiency.

Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions.

Liaise with shipboard teams, vendors, and classification societies.

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spares and equipment.

Support SHEQ initiatives and maintain high safety standards.

Ad hoc projects as requested by Management.
