We have a great opportunity to join our client in London as an Work Study Engineer on a 6 month rolling contract.
As Work Study Engineer, you will conduct observation of build procedures/specification and analyse data in order to establish a library of standard build times. These standard build times will serve two purposes: 1) for existing submerged products in production and 2) for the variation of products within the Company Product Catalogue.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Engineering degree or equivalent (mechanical, industrial, production)

Completion of recognized Work Study Course

Must have 5-6 years technical experience working within a manufacturing/production environment

Experience of new product introduction

Experience of maintaining standard times, Reference Operation Set (Ref Ops), BOM on SAP/MRP System

Excellent communication and management skills

Committed individual with ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working closely with Submerged Equipment Design and Industrialization Engineers (SED/SEI) and production personnel to conduct observation on submerged product build procedures to determine time and motion requirement

Use of traditional time study method to perform production studies to promote efficient and economical utilization of personnel and facilities

Analyses work study data and build specification to establish standard build times for variation of products

Applies principles of Industrial Engineering to evaluate work method proposals and to make cost recommendation to SED/SEI

Constantly reviews and analysis production processes to improve efficiency, down time, reject rates and reduce standard times and cost.
