GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Working closely with a small team of specialists based in Miami, the Yacht Manager will be responsible for a fleet of vessels, acting as the primary point of contact.

Our client is a major in the international full service yachting industry offering chartering, brokerage and new build construction. With offices around the globe they service a fleet of over 60 yachts.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Essential
-
Sea-going experience in a senior position
-
Excellent communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (dealing with Owners, Captains and various stakeholders);

Effective solution finding and multi-tasking abilities;

Sound knowledge of ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, MLC & STCW. Previous auditing experience beneficial;

Technical knowledge of large yachts and their operation;

Fluent in English (spoken and written);

Good sense of humour;
-
Live within commuting distance of Miami and be eligible to work in the USA legally.

Duties
-
Acting as the main point of contact for the vessel Crew/Owner
-
Operational Management of a fleet of vessels

Technical Management with the support of the Technical Management team

Crew Management with the support of the Crew Manager
-
Certification (Statutory and Class) and Insurance – working closely with Financial Services
-
Accounts and Finance (review invoices, submit fund requests to Owners etc.) with the support of the Accounts team
-
Safety Management/ISM with the support of the Safety & Security Manager
-
Security Management/ISPS with the support of the Safety & Security Manager
-
Participation in the Emergency Response Team if required
-
Preparation Monthly Management Reports

Assisting to obtain new management business and cross-selling all company services

Helping with any other ad hoc tasks reasonably requested
